What happened

French companies Altrad Endel and Tractebel have signed a ten-year cooperation agreement to support the French state-owned nuclear operator EDF in developing its long-term operating programme and potentially providing nuclear services abroad. The agreement covers civil engineering, mechanical engineering, project management, and construction of nuclear and power projects. According to official sources, EDF plans to commence preparatory work for a new EPR2 Nuclear Power Plant at the current Penly nuclear site in northern France in mid-2024.
