New approval for second Nuclear Power Plant in Poland

GE PAK Energia Jądrowa has submitted an application to the ministry for the plant. The APR1400 reactors planned for the two units will produce 22 TWh of electricity per year, or 12 percent of Poland’s current electricity demand. The ministry has now issued formal confirmation that the company’s investment project is in line with the public interest and energy policies pursued by the state. This investment is an opportunity because nuclear energy is stable, clean and cheap for households and businesses.
