A teacher was killed in a suspected terrorist attack at a high school in northern France. Furthermore, three other people were injured on site, in a public school in the city of Arras. The assailant was arrested a few minutes after the attack, which the French prosecutor is investigating as an act of terrorism.
The government raised the terror alert to the highest level in the aftermath of the murder, preparing for further violence fuelled by the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
