A suicide bomber detonated an explosive device in the heart of the Turkish capital Ankara. Two police officers were injured during the attack near an entrance to the Ministry of Interior Affairs and a second assailant was killed in a shootout with police.
The Ministry confirmed that at least one of the two attackers was a member of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, known as PKK. About that, the PKK earlier released a statement claiming responsibility for the attack.
