What happened

The U.S Department of Defense has announced that Lockheed Martin was awarded a contract for the MK21A Reentry Vehicle (RV) Program. The contracting activity is the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah. This contract provides for conducting engineering, manufacturing, and design to provide a low technical risk and affordable RV for Sentinel. The work is expected to be completed by October 20, 2039.
