A total of 54 cases were confirmed, almost all of them students at Charles de Gauelle boarding school in Ardèche. Measles is an extremely contagious virus that is transmitted either by the respiratory route or through contact. Complications can occur at any age but are more common in vulnerable persons such as pregnant women who have not had measles or who are not protected by vaccination, children under 1 year and immunocompromised persons. Measles symptoms are high fever, cough, runny nose, conjunctivitis, fatigue. Usually, 2 or 3 days later, blisters appear on the skin that slowly spread all over the body.
