Iran: 1 dead, 8 injured in terrorist attack on shrine in Shiraz

At least one person was killed and eight others were injured in an attack on a shrine in the southern Iranian city of Shiraz. Witnesses reported that a gunman began shooting indiscriminately after being confronted. State media initially reported that two attackers were involved – one of the attackers armed with a Kalashnikov was arrested, while the other managed to escape – and that four people had been killed, but later said it was a single man attacker and that one person had been killed. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
