What happened

France and Germany have two contrasting visions regarding nuclear power. For France it is important and considers it a sustainable source of energy, while for Germany it is not. German officials have defended the country’s leadership in renewable energy. This comes after Paris criticised Berlin for importing nuclear energy from France due to alleged shortcomings. Germany has rejected EU legislation on nuclear energy.
