World’s largest containment test platform completes performance test

Chinese researchers, including experts from the China National Nuclear Corporation’s (CNNC) China Nuclear Power Engineering (CNPE) division, have successfully concluded the structural testing of a scaled-down Hualong One containment building under severe accident conditions. This achievement was made possible after three years of meticulous preparation by the team from the Harbin Institute of Technology.
