AUKUS Test AI-Enabled Drone Swarm

In a collaborative effort with the United States and Australia, the British military has successfully carried out its inaugural military trial involving an AI-enabled drone swarm. The trilateral exercise took place at Upavon Airfield in southwest England as part of the AUKUS Advanced Capabilities Pillar program, focused on the development and testing of cutting-edge technologies. The UK Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL) reported that the drone swarm effectively identified and monitored military targets in a realistic real-time setting.
