ATLAS ELEKTRONIK unveil joint development integrated BlueWhale unmanned submarine

ATLAS ELEKTRONIK officially launched their latest joint development for advanced anti-submarine warfare (ASW). Utilizing ELTA’s advanced autonomous underwater multi-mission platform, known as BlueWhale, the system integrates ATLAS ELEKTRONIK’s towed passive sonar triplet array. This combined system, unlike conventional towed sonars, operates effectively at depths typically utilized by submarines to evade detection. By deploying an ATLAS transmitter from an autonomous or manned surface vessel, BlueWhale is capable of conducting bi-static location and tracking of submarine targets.
