General Atomics Awarded Contract for Advanced Submarine Propulsion Concept Designs

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) signed a contract with General Dynamics Applied Physical Sciences. The contract includes designing propulsion systems’ tasks and offering modeling, technical assessment, and analysis for supporting the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s (DARPA) Advanced Propulsor, Experimental (APEX) program. The objective of the APEX program is to create and showcase innovative propulsion technology designs capable of powering submarines and other submerged vehicles.
