In recognition of World Immunization Week, which is commemorated from April 21 to 25, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Morocco underscored the pivotal role of vaccination in safeguarding the health of the child population. This assertion positions vaccination as a cornerstone of primary health care, underscoring its significance in the broader context of public health. The Ministry emphasised the importance of maintaining high vaccination coverage to prevent the resurgence of dangerous diseases such as measles, demonstrating its commitment to counteracting misinformation surrounding vaccination campaigns. This has enabled Morocco to become a regional leader in the Eastern Mediterranean, ensuring the provision of free childhood vaccinations by the 1993 UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
