Spike of dengue cases in Bangladesh: 1 death, 42 hospitalizations in 24 hrs

In Bangladesh, one dengue patient died, and 42 were hospitalized during the last 24 hours. Thirty dengue patients were also discharged from hospital. The new hospitalizations were in the Barisal division, Chittagong division, and several divisions of Dhaka. According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), a few dengue patients were also admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka South.
The total number of dengue cases in Bangladesh is now 2318, with 18 deaths from the start of the year. In 2024, the country reported 101,214 cases and 575 deaths.
