According to official sources in the Pakistani military, two terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based body-search operation (IBO) in the Timergara area of Lower Dir district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The operation was conducted by Pakistani security forces and targeted a high-value target. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the security personnel conducted the IBO in response to reports of Fitna Al Khawarij militants, including Kharji Hafeezullah [alias] Kochwan, who was sought by the security forces on suspicion of involvement in numerous terrorist activities against security forces and civilians. Earlier, the security forces had killed nine terrorists during an IBO operation in the Takwara area of the Dera Ismail Khan district in West Pakistan, while eight others were killed and four were injured during a foiled infiltration attempt at the Pakistan-Afghan border in the North Waziristan district of KP, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
