What happened

A fire occurred at a solvent factory warehouse situated in the Pascarola industrial zone within the municipality of Caivano, in the province of Naples, Italy. Firefighters responded to the incident and successfully controlled the fire. However, prevailing winds caused the dispersal of noxious fumes into the adjacent areas. As a precautionary measure to safeguard public health, the Extraordinary Commission of the Municipality of Caivano advised residents to keep doors and windows secured. Citizens were further requested to evacuate their residences only when essential and to refrain from harvesting produce from domestic gardens. There were no reported casualties.
