What happened

A fire resulting from a gas pipeline leak, owned by the state energy corporation ‘Petronas,’ has occurred in the vicinity of Putra Heights, Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, causing injuries to over one hundred individuals. The leak, situated in the central state of Selangor, instigated an explosion, which was succeeded by a fire that rapidly posed a threat to adjacent residential areas, causing damage to a minimum of forty-nine residences, according to a local news source. Authorities have reported that one hundred and twelve persons sustained injuries, with sixty-three individuals requiring hospitalization due to burns and respiratory distress.
