The Italian Ministry of Health has issued a recall notice for several batches of salami produced by a company based in Poggibonsi, Siena province, due to the detection of Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) genes in these products. These products are considered to pose a health risk and should not be consumed. Consumers who have already purchased these products are advised to return them to the point of sale where they were purchased.
