According to reports from Pakistani officials, terrorist attacks were carried out on four police stations in the districts of Bannu and Lakki Marwat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to police statements, two police stations in Lakki Marwat were targeted by terrorists. The attacks were successfully repelled, and no casualties were reported. Two police officers sustained injuries when a roadside IED blast targeted a police vehicle on Landiwah Road in Lakki Marwat, while one attacker was killed in a retaliatory attack. In the Bannu district, two more police stations and a checkpoint were attacked, with unidentified gunmen launching grenade attacks and firing upon local police stations. No casualties were reported in these attacks, according to police sources. The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) group claimed responsibility for all the attacks in the two districts in separate statements. In the aftermath of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) ceasing its ceasefire with the government in November 2022, Pakistan has witnessed an increase in terrorist activities, most noticeably in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan regions.
