What happened

An incident of multiple poisoning by a stinging substance occurred at a supermarket in Cinisello Balsamo, a municipality in the province of Milan. The reasons for the actions of two boys who sprayed pepper spray inside the store are as yet unclear. However, the result was the acute poisoning of four customers. Law enforcement, health personnel, and firefighters arrived at the scene, assisted by the CBRN (Chemical, Bacteriological, Radiological, and Nuclear) unit with territorial jurisdiction. The four individuals exposed to the substance, ranging in age from 25 to 60, exhibited symptoms of intoxication, including a burning sensation in the airways and eyes. With the assistance of on-site medical personnel, the condition of the affected individuals was ascertained to be non-critical. The Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Milan, in collaboration with the military of the Sesto San Giovanni Company, undertook the task of reconstructing the event’s dynamics. The perpetrators of the act have since disappeared without a trace.
