France must boost nuclear industry to keep reactor fleet safe

According to the head of ASN, the French Nuclear Supervisory Authority, France needs to invest in skilled workers and resources to strengthen the nuclear industry and ensure the safety of power plants. According to official sources, the French government is planning to build at least six more reactors, with a strong focus on nuclear energy as a cheap and low-carbon source of electricity. A new energy and climate law will be introduced to lay the foundations for this project, together with a new multi-year energy plan.
