The Italian Parliament has obligated the Executive to ‘consider the inclusion of nuclear energy’ as a source of clean energy. The Government has expressed its willingness to pursue this objective. The parliamentarians who supported the motions called for a continued commitment to scientific research, the training of qualified human capital in the field, and support for fusion research, in line with European pro-nuclear partners. The motions were supported by the entire government majority, while opposition deputies either abstained or rejected them.
