Netherlands authorities are aware of a potential terrorist threat against the Festival de Liebe at Ahoy in Rotterdam. The festival will be held on March 7 and 8. In a statement, the National Coordinator for Counterterrorism and Security (NCTV) acknowledged a report from Germany indicating that terrorists may be targeting the event and said it is working on additional safety measures. The agency also reminded the public that the Netherlands has been at a terrorism threat level of 4, the second highest, since the end of 2023. Rotterdam police also confirmed the threat risk and said they are collecting information and consulting with Ahoy to enhance security measures at the festival.
