In a statement released by Deputy Commissioner Hazrat Wali Kakar, a pickup truck carrying coal miners was hit by a roadside Improvised Explosive Device (IED), killing 10 workers and injuring 6. According to identification documents, the deceased miners belonged to the Shangla district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The blast took place in the PMDC 94 coal mine area in Harnai’s Shahrag district in the Balochistan region. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators. Members of the regional and national governments have strongly condemned the attack and reiterated the government’s commitment to eradicating terrorism.
