What happened

The Indonesian National Police’s counterterrorism unit, Densus 88, has arrested four Uzbek nationals suspected of being involved in the international terrorist network ‘Katiba Tawhid Wal Jihad’. The suspects are believed to have links to Indonesian terrorist networks and to support terrorism within the country. Official sources state that their visit to Indonesia was aimed at propaganda and recruiting the local population. Densus 88, in collaboration with the Uzbekistan government, discovered their operations in the Middle East, specifically in Syria.
