Botox risk in Messina, major food recall

The Italian Ministry of Health has announced a major recall of jams, pesto, and packaged preserves due to a microbiological risk for consumers, namely the potential contamination by botulinum toxin. This recall has been issued as a precaution against the same manufacturer, with its factory in Milazzo, in the metropolitan city of Messina. Consumers are advised not to consume products with the indicated lots and to return them to the point of sale.
