Over 2 million flu vaccinations in Lombardy

According to the data set out in the regional report of 13 January 2025, the number of individuals vaccinated against the influenza virus in Lombardy has surpassed two million. The total number of vaccinations stands at 2,000,184, marking an increase of 133,900 compared to the previous year. The regional councilor for Welfare, Guido Bertolaso, has launched an appeal to those who have not yet received the vaccine, urging them to participate in the ongoing vaccination campaign to safeguard their health and alleviate pressure on the healthcare system. The Lombardy Region’s ongoing vaccination campaign continues to offer free vaccinations to all population segments, with a particular emphasis on the most vulnerable groups, including the elderly, children, and individuals with chronic diseases. The vaccination campaign is being conducted with various healthcare institutions, including family doctors’ practices, paediatricians, and pharmacies.
