War device alert in Oristano

A bomb alert was issued in Oristano following the discovery of an explosive device and an antique weapon in the former monastery of Carmine, which houses university courses. The discovery was made in a teacher’s room, and the devices were found to be stored within a box. In response to the threat, local authorities proceeded with the evacuation of the area within a 150-metre radius from the discovery site to facilitate the disarming and securing of the affected area. The intervention was led by state and local police officers, followed by the bomb disposal squad of the Macomer police. In response to the incident, Mayor Massimiliano Sanna has enacted an ordinance that imposes a comprehensive ban on transit, parking, and general circulation on the affected stretch of road. This ban applies to all categories of vehicles, individuals, and animals.
