According to the findings of Epidemiological Week 47: 18–24 November 2024 of WHO’s ‘Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response’ (IDSR), measles outbreaks have been identified in 17 counties across the country since January 2024. Eleven counties remain active at this time, with outbreaks reported in 19 sub-counties. The case fatality rate (CFR) is 0.6%, with 294 confirmed cases and 18 fatalities out of the 2,797 cases that have been reported thus far. In the last week, six more cases were documented, all of which originated in the Dadaab sub-county.
