A total of 12,624 cases and 208 fatalities have occurred since the outbreak began, yielding a case fatality rate (CFR) of 1.6%. Seven weeks after the last case was reported on July 28, 2024, the nation declared the outbreak to be over on September 15, 2024. Four months have passed since the last case was reported, indicating that the outbreak has been successfully contained.
