Siena, UXO found while renovating a building

An unexploded explosive device (UXO) was discovered during renovation work on the roof of a building in the San Prospero area of Siena, Italy. Authorities cordoned off the area for safety reasons and ordered the temporary evacuation of the building. The municipal police, fire brigade, and the bomb disposal unit of the Italian Army’s Genio from Bologna were promptly dispatched to the scene. The device could be a remnant of the Second World War (ERW). At present, no further details have been disclosed.
