What happened

In Liguria, a new positive result for the African swine fever (ASF) virus was identified in wild boars from the province of La Spezia in Varese Ligure, with 14 cases observed. This brings the total number of positive cases to 1,033. Conversely, there were no new positives among wild boars in Piedmont. The number of municipalities in which at least one case of ASF was observed remained unchanged at 165.
