What happened

As reported by the Yale Daily News, infections from the XEC subvariant of the coronavirus have been documented in 33 countries worldwide. The virus is particularly active in Western and Northern Europe and the United States. XEC variant is associated with three primary symptoms: a stuffy and runny nose, a persistent cough, and a loss of appetite. According to experts, it may become the dominant variant of SARS-CoV-2 during the forthcoming winter period. On October 16, Poland reported 813 cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection and five associated deaths. Since the beginning of October, a total of 12,525 cases and 25 deaths have been confirmed in the country, according to data published on koronawirusunas.pl. The Minister of Health, Izabela Leszczyna, has announced that the vaccines against the novel coronavirus will be delivered to Poland and subsequently distributed to designated storage facilities and eventually to designated vaccination points.
