What happened

The Municipality of Monza has secured a financial contribution from the Italian National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN) amounting to nearly one and a half million euros, which will be allocated to enhance the cybersecurity of digital systems and services accessible to the municipality, as well as to provide tailored training for its personnel. The project, designated “Strengthening Cyber Resilience of the Municipality of Monza,” is scheduled for implementation between the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025. The objective is to boost the municipality’s capacity to respond to cyber attacks, improve internal security procedures, and reinforce the quality of staff training, ensuring a robust and enduring level of cyber resilience. The proposed project will focus on the creation of a cyber risk management platform, which will entail the construction of a dynamic and constantly updated Configuration Management Database. The purpose of this database will be to collate data about devices that are connected to the network, thereby facilitating a more effective and secure management of technological resources.
