What happened

The presence of traces of Legionella in the water pipes of the Cesa school complex in Marciano della Chiana (Province of Arezzo) was identified following inspections conducted by municipal technicians. In response to these findings, the municipal authorities initiated reclamation operations in collaboration with the local health authority and experts in the field. To allow the requisite sanitisation and restoration of the water systems, it has been determined that the affected school facilities must be temporarily closed. Mayor Maria De Palma took immediate steps to ensure the expeditious cleaning of the water supply network, while also guaranteeing that requisite safety standards would be met to facilitate a swift return to pre-crisis conditions.
