Eight seasonal flu vaccines have been approved in Italy

The Italian Medicines Agency (Agenzia Italiana del Farmaco, AIFA) has recently approved eight vaccines capable of blocking viral strains following guidelines set forth by the World Health Organisation (WHO). Under the directives issued by AIFA, the vaccination campaign is scheduled to commence at the beginning of October. The campaign will prioritize individuals belonging to at-risk groups, with particular attention paid to those over the age of 60, pregnant and postpartum women, children between the ages of six months and six years, and patients with chronic diseases.
