Removal of a war device in the area of Rimini

The removal of the war device recently discovered in Santa Giustina, a hamlet of Rimini, has commenced following the requisite authorisations to defuse the British-made bomb, dating back to World War II, that was dropped from an aircraft over Rimini territory. Modifications to the road system will be implemented, and 140 residents will be evacuated from their homes for the time necessary for the clearance operations. The estimated time for the clean-up operation is between five and eight hours. The operation is entrusted to the bomb disposal squad in cooperation with the prefecture, law enforcement agencies, and civil protection.
