First suspected case of Mpox in India

In India, a suspected case of Mpox was reported in a man from a state where the virus was present. The Ministry of Health has taken all precautions to identify sources and prevent spread in the country. The infected man has been isolated in hospital and has not shown any serious symptoms. It is still unknown which strain he might have, but tests are underway. Last month the WHO declared the epidemic a public health emergency of international concern.
