Pordenone, elderly couple with Salmonellosis

An elderly couple has been hospitalized at the “Santa Maria degli Angeli” hospital in Pordenone due to salmonellosis. The local health authorities have launched an investigation to determine the source of the infection. As part of this, a restaurant in Western Friuli, where the couple dined with their daughter, is under scrutiny. Samples from the restaurant’s kitchen equipment and surfaces have been sent to the Zooprophylactic Institute of Padua for analysis. No further details have been disclosed at this time.
