Two elderly women died from West Nile in Parma

In Parma, two women, aged 80 and 83, passed away after contracting the West Nile virus. They were receiving care at the Maggiore Hospital and had multiple pre-existing health conditions. These recent deaths have increased the total number of confirmed fatalities in Emilia-Romagna to four, marking the region as one of the most impacted. Consequently, the regional authorities have escalated the surveillance level.
