Rimini mayor signs order to prevent West Nile Virus

The Mayor of Rimini, Jamil Sadegholvaad, has issued an executive order implementing extraordinary measures to combat the spread of mosquitoes and prevent West Nile Virus infections. This measure aligns with the guidelines recently provided by the Emilia-Romagna Region. The ordinance mandates that all public and private entities, including managers of social welfare facilities and hospitals, carry out weekly adulticidal treatments through September 30. These treatments are to be performed around green spaces regularly frequented by the public. The order will be in force until September 30, and local police, health authorities, and law enforcement agencies will oversee its implementation.
