What happened

The incidence of SARS-CoV-2 infections has increased significantly in the Emilia-Romagna region during the summer months. The Regional Epidemiological Bulletin has reported 184 new COVID-19 cases in Emilia-Romagna in the past 24 hours, including 24 in the province of Rimini. Presently, 16 patients are hospitalized at the “Infermi” hospital in Rimini, with an additional 8 in nearby health facilities. The majority of these patients are seniors with underlying health conditions. Local health officials have reported no particular difficulties in managing these cases. Currently, there are no COVID-19 patients in intensive care units.
