ERW found in the province of Bologna

A patrol of the ‘Legambiente’ Volunteer Ecological Guards in Ravenna has discovered a Second World War-era explosive device (ERW), which was subsequently identified as being unexploded. The device was discovered in a forest in a hamlet of Castel Bolognese, in the province of Bologna, during a routine surveillance operation. The discovery was duly reported to the relevant authorities, who promptly proceeded to the site for the requisite removal. No additional information has been made available at this time.
