Gas pipeline explosion due to suspected sabotage in Anaco, Venezuela

On Wednesday 17th July, 2024, an explosion was reported on a gas pipeline near the old Anaco-Cantaura highway in El Milenium sector, central area of Anzoátegui State. As indicated by the initial investigations, the explosion, which occurred during the night, was caused by a sabotage done by third parties. The fire caused by the explosion has been completely extinguished without harm to the community in the area. Neither deaths nor injuries were reported.
