What happened

The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has activated the National Cholera Emergency Operations Center in response to a risk assessment by Nigerian authorities, who have declared a state of national emergency to manage the spread of a cholera epidemic that has resulted in over 50 fatalities.
