Ground Warden: the new frontier of artificial intelligence in military operations

MBDA, the European defense company, presented “Ground Warden”, a portable tool based on artificial intelligence to detect hidden targets. Using technology beyond the line of sight, it quickly analyzes surveillance drone data and suggests attack options. The collected data is transmitted to a tablet, helping the operator accurately guide the weapon. Ground Warden, a “plug and play” solution, was successfully demonstrated at Eurosatory 2024. During the demonstration, it detected and hit hidden targets, showing the effectiveness of collaboration between artificial intelligence and human operators.
