What happened

Transparent Tribe, also known as APT36 and based in Pakistan, has stepped up its activities against the Indian government and the defense and aerospace sectors between the end of 2023 and April 2024. Several recent hacker attacks against the Indian government have been linked to the well-known APT36 group. The group uses languages such as Python, Golang, and Rust to develop malicious tools and exploit web services like Telegram and Google Drive. They introduced ISO images as an attack vector in October 2023 and used an “all-in-one” spying tool compiled in Golang. Transparent Tribe represents a significant threat, requiring a robust response from Indian authorities. According to the BlackBerry Research and Intelligence Team, the APT36 group’s attacks against the Indian government will continue. The Indian government will need to step up measures against hacker attacks.
