What happened

An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) went off targeting a civilian bus in the southwestern province of Taiz. The blast destroyed the bus, killed two people and injured eleven others. The incident took place shortly after a military vehicle parade had passed through the area, seemingly targeting a pro-government army officer, according to a local security source.

Although the current truce has been largely maintained, the internationally recognized government and the Houthi group frequently exchange accusations of breaches of the truce. According to Yemeni government forces, the Houthi militia is positioned at the primary eastern, northern, and western entry points to the city of Taiz, laying siege to the crucial residential areas within this strategic urban center.
