Syrian Democratic Forces targeted by VBIED blast

According to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), an attack by an Islamic State suicide bomber driving a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) occurred in the town of Al-Shahil in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor. The attacker detonated the VBIED when SDF members were fighting him in an attempt to block his entrance through the main gate. The explosion killed three SDF members and wounded seven others. Later, as the Syrian Democratic Forces were treating the wounded, some mercenaries opened fire on medical personnel, killing another member.
