What happened

According to officials, two explosions occurred in the coalfield area of Duki District in northern Balochistan. The explosions killed one person and injured twenty others, including two officers of the Balochistan Police’s Counterterrorism Department (CTD).
According to reports, the explosions, in which improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were used, occurred at a time when people and police officers gathered at the scene of the first explosion.
In the first explosion, a truck loaded with coal was targeted while transporting coal in Punjab. The explosive device detonated near the truck, injuring three people and damaging it.
The second explosion occurred when security personnel arrived at the scene, killing one person and injuring 15 others.
Initial investigations revealed that both explosions were conducted with remote controls.
